Users of the site's Message Boards and Forums must register separately for these services (both are free of charge) in order to post messages, although they needn't register to visit the site. During registration the user is required to supply a username, password, and email address.

Our site users can choose to electronically forward a link, page, or documents to someone else by clicking "e-mail this to a friend". The user must provide their email address, as well as that of the recipient. This information is used only in the case of transmission errors and, of course, to let the recipient know who sent the email. The information is not used for any other purpose.

4. Polling

We may offer interactive polls to users so they can easily share their opinions with other users and see what our audience thinks about important issues. Opinions or other responses to polls are aggregated and are not identifiable to any particular user. Pier Genius, Inc. may use a system to "tag" users after they have voted, so they can vote only once on a particular question. This tag is not correlated with information about individual users.

Pier Genius, Inc. may occasionally conduct user surveys to better target our content to our audience. CHILDREN

All piergenius.com Internet sales are currently on CBS terms (Cash Before shipment, payment must be received before the product is shipped). Payments by check must clear the bank before the order is shipped.

Purchase Orders
Many of our customers cannot purchase through a credit card. If you are interested in receiving a Net 30 terms purchase order account, please contact sales@piergenius.com for more information and please fax your credit information including; Name, address, and contact information, Bank information, and 3 business references to Pier Genius.com (641) 357-0561. Common Carrier
Pier Genius, Inc. is not responsible for paying Common Carrier accessorial charges including inside delivery, residential delivery, lift gate, hazardous material, sort and segregate, C.O.D. fees, & construction site delivery. This applies to all orders. We will do everything we can to make you aware of any additional charges that we at Pier Genius, Inc. are aware of. Shipping is at buyers expense and buyer MUST provide facilities to unload truck load quantities.

Damages/Shortages
The carrier who delivers merchandise is responsible for loss & damages. Acceptance of the shipment from the carrier is an acknowledgement that the articles delivered were received in good condition and properly packed. Pier Genius, Inc.'s responsibility ceases upon delivery to the transportation company.
Notify the carrier at time of delivery so that they may process the claim. Carriers will not honor claims when the customer signs receiving documents as free and clear. Notify Pier Genius, Inc. to arrange for reshipment of loss and damaged products.

Returns
Pier Genius, Inc. accepts returns of stocked merchandise only.
No returns will be accepted without prior authorization from Pier Genius.com. Please contact Pier Genius.com at sales@piergenius.com or (641) 430-8740 for a return authorization number. Please include the return Authorization Number and a copy of the packing slip for a return or exchange. We regret that shipping charges are not refundable. No returns will be accepted for used materials. Also we regret that returns cannot be accepted for orders placed over 21 days from the date you contact Pier Genius.com.
Returns have a 20% restock fee.

Pricing and Bids and Special Pricing
Pier Genius, Inc. strives to give you the best price available. If you find a better price out there (including freight charges, shipping charges or any other hidden charges that many of our competitors charge) we will attempt to beat them by at least 5% or more if you contact us at sales@piergenius.com. We regret that this is not a guarantee.
When Promotional pricing exists, the lower of the Promo price or the standard price prevails.
Pallet Pricing - in order to receive the pallet price, the customer must buy the minimum quantity as specified by contacting sales@piergenius.com. When pallet pricing exists, the lower of the Pallet, Promo or standard price prevails.
Prices are subject to change at any time and are effective when they are posted to the web site.
Typographical errors are rare, but may occur. Pier Genius, Inc. reserves the right not to honor any prices that may be posted in error. However, we will make every reasonable effort to rectify any situations that arise due to typographical errors.

Special Pricing

Satisfaction guaranteed
Pier Genius.com strives to earn a long-term business relationship with you and your company, not merely a one-time sale. If the products do not perform as stated, we will make every effort to rectify the situation by accepting a return (for credit) of the product, provided no damage has incurred. We regret that any shipping charges are non-refundable. Shipping damages are out of our control and we can place no guarantee on product loss due to shipping damages. We want all of our customers to be satisfied and will work with them one-on-one to try to reach a compromise in the event that they are not completely satisfied. Warranty is dependant on decking, 25 year on vinyl steel, 15 year on Aqua-dek, frame is 25 year against everything, floats are a 10 year.

Shipping
Pier Genius.com does not ship outside the continental United States (Lower 48) at this time. Orders to P.O. Boxes, APO and FPO are not accepted. Most orders will ship same day when placed before 2 P.M. CST, however please allow one business day for processing. Orders placed on weekends will be shipped the next business day. Shipping is calculated at $1.50 per pound for large items. Items able to ship UPS are indicated by the UPS symbol when shopping. For various reasons (such as hazardous materials etc.), some items may not be able to ship UPS. If your cart contains items not shippable via UPS, you will be notified as to the actual shipping charges for these items via common courier. These items will be charged to your card or account and ship upon your approval. Please note that if your cart contains items that ship UPS and items that do not ship UPS, your card will be charged two separate times, once for the items that ship UPS and again for the items that ship any other way (upon your approval). Sales tax on is applied ONLY to customers in Iowa because Pier Genius.com is based in Iowa. No sales tax is applied to the other US states. Customers outside of Iowa are responsible for reporting sales and use tax to the appropriate authority.

Boxes, APO and FPO are not accepted. Most orders will ship same day when placed before 2 P.M. CST, however please allow one business day for processing. Orders placed on weekends will be shipped the next business day. Shipping is calculated at $1.50 per pound for large items. Items able to ship UPS are indicated by the UPS symbol when shopping. For various reasons (such as hazardous materials etc.), some items may not be able to ship UPS.
